About

Set out on a cultural exploration at the Bani Hamida weaving experience, rooted in the traditions of Bedouin heritage. Since 1985 in Bani Hamida, twelve tribal members have woven vivid products using traditional ground looms crafted from stones and sticks. This immersive encounter resurrects the ancient art of weaving, showcasing the essential role that wool craftsmanship plays in daily Bedouin life. Rugs, cushions, and even items like the "hair home" are intricately woven, reflecting both artistry and practicality.

As a guest at the Bani Hamida guesthouse, delve into the Noll weaving technique guided by skilled artisans. This hands-on experience extends beyond the weaving frame, offering a deep dive into the cultural and historical significance woven into each pattern. The journey comes to an end with a traditional meal, a flavorful celebration of Jordanian cuisine prepared by local hosts. This weaving encounter is not merely a lesson in craftsmanship but a connection to the living history of Bedouin communities, where threads of tradition and culture intertwine.

Come, weave memories and stories that echo the rich legacy of Bani Hamida.
