Fawziyeh Al Hassanat established The Nabatean Ladies Cooperative Association in 1999 to empower women in Wadi Musa. Her goal is to provide opportunities for learning and self-sufficiency within the community. She trains women, many of whom are young and still in school, to start their own businesses and become self-sufficient. She envisions a future with more opportunities for women in the community while also benefiting Jordan's tourism sector. She continually strives for improvement, believing there's always room for growth. Fawziyeh's dream is to initiate more projects to offer more women the same chances she once sought. Renowned for its distinctive silver jewelry crafted by local women, the association also invites tourists to experience crafting their own silver jewelry at the workshop, enhancing cultural exchange and economic empowerment.
